Betty Boop picture for The Autumn Society of Philadelphia's upcoming "Golden Age of Comics and Animation" art show.
For the inspiration, I used the earliest Betty Boop design by Grim Natwick. That's the character design seen in the first few Betty Boop cartoons ("Mysterious Mose" for example). The early "dog" Betty is my favorite version. Her face later became too symmetrical and less expressive, though that's the model still used today in the BB merchandise. And sorry for ruining your favorite musical instrument  I had to make it very simplified, because there was no space for more details. Excellent idea! I must do a Felix drawing in some near future.
